Launch of Worcestershire Health and Social Care Awards 2026<\/a>\n<\/p>\n\n Ian Brookes, centre site manager, said: \u201cThe practice has experienced some challenging years but throughout this time the team has continually pulled together to provide the very best service possible for our community.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Over the last few years we have worked hard to reconnect with our community following the pandemic.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cThis has included supporting local groups such as dementia carers, becoming a veteran-accredited practice and hosting coffee mornings, supporting charities and raising over \u00a325,000 for the MND society in support of our colleague and working with local schools to provide work experience opportunities.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cThis nomination also coincides with the 10-year anniversary of the \u2018new\u2019 Bewdley Medical Centre which we are currently celebrating in partnership with the local high school through a student artwork and photography competition.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe continue to look at ways to improve our service, whether through refining our processes, listening to patient feedback or more recent projects such as our building works which will provide additional clinical rooms and administrative space.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cThis nomination is a culmination of all these efforts and reflects the positive direction the practice is taking for the benefit of our community.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cOur staff are incredibly proud of the work they do and of the opportunity they have to serve this community and I know this recognition will provide a real boost to morale across the team.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n This year\u2019s county awards have been launched by Newsquest which runs the Worcester News, Malvern Gazette, Evesham Journal, Bromsgrove & Droitwich Advertiser, Kidderminster Shuttle and Redditch Advertiser.\n<\/p>\n
\n There will be a black-tie dinner for all the finalists at the Bank House Hotel in Bransford on Thursday, September 3.\n<\/p>\n
\n Closing date for nominations is Sunday, June 28.\n<\/p>\n
\n Nominations are needed for The Health Care Employer, The Child & Adolescent Health Care and The NHS Hero accolades plus nine other categories.\n<\/p>\n
\n They are The NHS Team of the Year, The Palliative\/End of Life Award, The Care Home Worker or Team Award, The Good Nurse Award, The Dementia Carer or Team Award, The Mental Health Award, GP Practice of the Year Award, The Domiciliary Care Worker or Team Award and Oral Health Care Professional of the Year.\n<\/p>\n
