A fan favourite rapper was supposed to tear up the Budweiser Stage in Toronto on August 11.<\/p>\n
Instead, fans were left staring at a screen announcing the show was postponed due to an \u2018unforeseen illness.\u2019<\/p>\n
Lil Wayne<\/a> was scheduled to perform for his Canadian fans as part of his Tha Carter VI Tour, which kicked off in June and is set to run until October.<\/p>\n No one saw it coming \u2013 the venue had already filled up, and the announcement dropped at 8 pm, a whole hour after the show was meant to start.<\/p>\n The screen lit up with a message saying Weezy was too sick to perform, but he \u2018loves putting on nothing short of the best performances.\u2019<\/p>\n It promised that all tickets would still be valid for the rescheduled date, but as of now, that date is a mystery.<\/p>\n \t\t There\u2019s been no official follow-up or apology from the 42-year-old\u2019s team, but fans online were clearly disappointed.<\/p>\n One fan, @fridayrickdred, took to X to say: \u2018Lil Wayne cancels Toronto concert last min! We gotta talk about Wayne possibly destroying his legacy. He might be inching towards COOKED status!
