\n Among them is Rosie Jones, from Dolanog, who described the experience as \u201cunexpected\u201d and \u201ca bit of a whirlwind\u201d since the choir secured a Golden Buzzer at their very first audition.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe had so much energy on stage and had so much fun up there – I think people felt that,\u201d she said.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cIt\u2019s been overwhelming from the first audition. It\u2019s not just about the farming community – people from all walks of life have supported us and really connected with what we\u2019re doing.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\n She added that the semi-final vote reveal had been the most nerve-wracking moment, but by the time the final came around, the group were simply enjoying the experience.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe were just having a blast,\u201d she said. \u201cIt shows the power of coming together as a community.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Will Rogers, originally from Presteigne and now living in Knighton, said the experience had been \u201csurreal\u201d.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cIt\u2019s gone from one thing to another \u2013 you have to pinch yourself. Getting the public vote in the semi-final was phenomenal. We felt the support, but didn\u2019t know we\u2019d get the votes.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cBy the final we already felt we\u2019d won \u2013 we\u2019d shone a spotlight on farming and rural communities, and any money will go towards mental health charities. To then win was incredible.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cThe feeling on stage with the judges, and seeing the result side stage with Aled, was amazing. Meeting the judges and celebrating afterwards was great too.\n<\/p>\n

\n \u201cI\u2019m very happy to stay a farmer under the radar \u2013 keep the mud on our boots and not forget who we are.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cGetting to perform for the King in November is very exciting. We\u2019ve been on cloud nine and we\u2019ll never forget it.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe\u2019re so proud to represent rural communities, especially our own, and thank everyone for their support.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Aled Wyn Davies, from Llanbrynmair, said the choir\u2019s journey began in April last year when more than 600 farmers responded to a social media call for \u201cstrong voices\u201d linked to Jeremy Clarkson\u2019s Hawkstone brand.\n<\/p>\n
\n What started as a one-off recording session quickly grew into something much bigger, with the group eventually being invited to audition for the ITV talent show.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe had a brilliant audition, but when Amanda Holden pressed the Golden Buzzer, we all went wild. That was the start of something big,\u201d he said.\n<\/p>\n
\n After months of secrecy before their audition aired, the choir went on to impress both judges and viewers, eventually winning the competition with their original song \u2018This Is Home\u2019.\n<\/p>\n

\n The 33-strong group secured the \u00a3250,000 prize and a place at the Royal Variety Performance, becoming the first choir to win the show in its history.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cIt still feels like a dream,\u201d said Aled. \u201cWhen Ant and Dec announced we\u2019d won, we were in bits. It\u2019s a feeling we\u2019ll never forget.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n He also paid tribute to the families and farm workers who kept businesses running while members took part, as well as musical director Simon Gwilliam and conductor Lizzie Deane.\n<\/p>\n
\n The choir\u2019s winning performance struck a chord with the public, topping the final vote with a commanding share and earning praise from the judges, including Simon Cowell, who described the song as \u201cabsolutely stunning\u201d.\n<\/p>\n
\n Beyond the music, members say the group was formed to raise awareness of mental health challenges within the farming community, and they plan to donate a significant portion of their winnings to agricultural charities.\n<\/p>\n
\n Looking ahead, the choir hopes to release their winning song and continue building on their success – all while returning to their day jobs on the farm.\n<\/p>\n
