{"id":619468,"date":"2026-06-03T20:01:13","date_gmt":"2026-06-03T20:01:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/619468\/"},"modified":"2026-06-03T20:01:13","modified_gmt":"2026-06-03T20:01:13","slug":"former-west-midlands-police-superintendent-charged-with-720k-fraud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/619468\/","title":{"rendered":"Former West Midlands Police superintendent charged with \u00a3720k fraud"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Two people, including a former police superintendent, have been charged in connection with a \u00a3720,000 investment scam.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said it authorised criminal charges following allegations that a woman transferred the large sum of money, believing she would receive a substantial return.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Syed Hussain, 54, a former superintendent for West Midlands Police, has been charged with fraud and transferring criminal property.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Farah Ullah, 43, has also been charged with fraud and two counts of transferring criminal property.
