Canelo Alvarez<\/a> will make his ring return in September when he challenges Christian Mbilli in an attempt to regain the WBC super-middleweight throne, and now Canelo\u2019s former promoter, Eddie Hearn, has shared his thoughts on the fight.<\/p>\n

After losing his undisputed 168lb crown to the since retired Terence Crawford, Alvarez finds himself in an unfamiliar position, left without a title to his name and suddenly removed from the vast majority of pound-for-pound rankings.<\/p>\n

Now, in a refreshing, new-look super-middleweight scene, Canelo is looking to reassert himself as the dominant force and remind fighters and fans alike that he is the man to beat in the division, jumping into an immediate title challenge against the undefeated Mbilli<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Speaking to iFL TV<\/a>, Hearn, who has been involved in a number of Alvarez\u2019s fights, warned that Mbilli is capable of exposing the 35-year-old \u2018if he is finished\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a good fight. Canelo is a true competitor, it was great to see him last week, he is excited to fight again and it is a tough fight to come back to.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy the way, if you are finished, you get beat in that fight. So, it is a really good fight and I\u2019m looking forward to seeing Canelo back in the ring.\u201d<\/p>\n

The fight will take place on Saturday, September 12, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with Great Britain\u2019s newly crowned WBO super-middleweight champion, Hamzah Sheeraz, seemingly eyeing up a shot at the victor for a title unification next May<\/a>.<\/p>\n
