According to Pensions UK, there&#8217;s a significant number of people who aren&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>They are at risk of a retirement &#8220;cliff-edge&#8221; fall in income when they stop work, the pensions industry body warned, as it published updated retirement living standards.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/money-latest-live-consumer-personal-finance-sky-news-13040934?postid=10012963#liveblog-body\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Find latest tips and deals in the Money blog<\/a><\/p>\n<p>These are calculated by the Centre for Research in Social Policy at Loughborough University and set out three lifestyle levels in retirement:<\/p>\n<p>Minimum, covering basic needs with some money left over for discretionary spending &#8211; costs about \u00a313,900 annually for one person (up \u00a3500 from last year) and \u00a322,500 for two (up \u00a3900)Moderate, offering more financial security and flexibility &#8211; costs \u00a332,700 for one person (up \u00a31,000) and \u00a345,400 for two (up \u00a31,500)Comfortable, with more financial freedom and some luxuries &#8211; costs around \u00a345,400 for one person (up \u00a31,500) and \u00a362,700 for two (up \u00a32,100)<\/p>\n<p>Pensions UK said it expects around 82% of the working population across the UK to reach at least the minimum standard of living in retirement.
