No offense to Marty, but it\u2019s nice seeing some creatives respond to generative AI with hand-waving and disinterest. In their \u201cActors on Actors\u201d interview, Euphoria<\/a> star Sharon Stone and The Burbs star Keke Palmer both told Variety<\/a> that they have no interest in using AI for creative endeavors. \u201cI\u2019m not a person who uses that stuff,\u201d Stone confirmed. \u201cI am a person who has the 20-volume annotated dictionaries. I love researching on the internet, but to me, AI\u2019s a cover band. That\u2019s all it\u2019s got. It\u2019s never going to be the Rolling Stones; it\u2019s always going to be somebody singing the Rolling Stones. It\u2019s never going to be me doing a performance; it\u2019s going to be somebody faking me doing a performance. You\u2019re never going to get my crazy idea of the day, which is always going to be better, because it\u2019s going to be \u2014 guess what? \u2014 new. That\u2019s what makes me interesting. I have new ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n Palmer agreed. \u201cAt the end of the day, the human mind, the people who have visions every day, that comes from spirit,\u201d she said, also mentioning the impact AI has on the environment. \u201cThe climate stuff is worrying and concerning, but then there\u2019s the reality that it\u2019s not going anywhere. So I find myself trying to figure out how to be prepared, how to create things that protect the environment, be a part of things that are making it ethical. But I\u2019m also understanding how it\u2019s democratizing a lot of spaces for people who otherwise couldn\u2019t reach them. So it\u2019s weird.
