Katie Price looks as though her world has crumbled and is showing a vulnerable side of herself. The former glamour model is currently in Dubai, where her fourth husband, Lee Andrews, is behind bars.

Andrews, a British national, is being held at the notorious Al Awir prison. Despite Katie’s initial claims that he was being held on suspicion of espionage, it later emerged that the true reason for his arrest was a “private civil matter”.

He was due for release on Monday and was reportedly informed he would be required to pay a four-figure sum. Now, however, this has changed, and it’s claimed the fee is in excess of £100,000, with any release date potentially weeks away.

"Body

Body language expert Judi James says Katie’s poses show her ‘narrative unravelling'(Image: BACKGRID)

Katie flew out to the United Arab Emirates this week with her photographer and videographer, and in new images, the star was seen with her head in her hands as she posed around the hotel pool. “One thing that is obvious about Katie right now is that she looks frail,” leading body language expert Judi James, told the Mirror.

Judi added: “The other is that whatever this current attention and headline-seeking ‘adventure’ really is, the bizarre narrative appears to be unravelling rapidly. Rather than the usual madcap ‘What Katie did next’ dramas of her very PR-based life, this stage does appear to suggest we should be concerned about her, rather than mocking.

“Of course, her photos look performative. Draped on a sun lounger, topping up her tan, Katie is clearly aware of and playing to the cameras here, which makes her emotional displays look theatrical.”

"Katie

Reflecting on Katie’s appearance, Judi explained that she’s returned to her roots as Jordan, who was once the nation’s most in-demand Page 3 model.

She explained: “Her facial expression in some looks serious, stern and reflective. In others, she’s in typical glamour pose mode. In one, she leans back with her hands behind her head and her elbows and knees splayed wide in an emphatic ‘pit-bare’ splay ritual that would normally signal total confidence and dominance.

“But then, in the same shoot, we get the head in her hands pose.” Looking at the image of Katie, taken by her pal, Judi says: “When someone throws their head into their hands, the gesture would normally signal despair, confusion and an utter loss of control or ability to know what to do next.

"Katie's

Katie’s version is more dramatic and less congruent. Her knees are still wide apart, whereas total despair would normally look more self-protective.”

And despite Katie’s turmoil over her current husband, Judi says that the telly star is a “trouper” and she’s putting on a brave face for the cameras. “However, and it is an important point, Katie is and always has been a trouper,” she said, adding: “She battles on whatever life throws at her but for anyone there can come a point of despair.

“Katie always tries to appear strong, but even if this pose is contrived for the cameras, we should never assume that she is not suffering behind the scenes when the cameras are turned off.”

But she’s keen to stress that while Katie is posing for the cameras, she’s also showing a more vulnerable side. Judi explained: “The pose might look acted here, but it could easily reflect some genuine vulnerability for Katie right now.”
