2<\/p>\n McGregor has been front and centre of the biggest BKFC events since he became a minority owner in 2024Credit: Getty<\/p>\n But it’s hard to think of something similar to the head-scratching decision BKFC star Julian Lane made during his main event bout on Thursday.<\/p>\n ‘I’m not sure what that was about’<\/p>\n Lane faced fellow American Bryce Henry, the aforementioned chess player, in the headline bout of BKFC Hollywood and briefly forgot the sport he found himself in.<\/p>\n With blood pouring from a nasty cut on his forehead in the fourth round of five, Lane revisited his MMA routes and grabbed his opponent with both hands to secure a double leg takedown.<\/p>\n Henry crashed to the canvas with a thud as the referee came rushing in to separate Lane, who was arguably three rounds up by this point, from his opponent.<\/p>\n READ MORE ON BKFC<\/p>\n “I’m not sure what that was about,” one of the bemused commentators said during the broadcast.<\/p>\n The official called a timeout as Henry lay flat on his back, and boos echoed around the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.<\/p>\n Seconds later, the fight was waved off with Henry seemingly unfit to continue, and Lane was subsequently disqualified.<\/p>\n Lane looked raging, but some fans found it hard to sympathise with the 38-year-old after he broke the rules.<\/p>\n Other BFKC fans argued Henry may have been ‘looking for a way out’ and Lane should’ve simply been deducted one point – but the former was nonetheless crowned the winner and remains undefeated in the promotion.<\/p>\n “I mean, look at his face!
