\n\tPatrick Godfrey<\/a>, the actor known for roles in Ever After (1998) and Les Mis\u00e9rables (2012), has died. He was 93.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor\u2019s London-based agency Markham, Froggatt & Irwin announced that Godfrey \u201cdied peacefully at home surrounded by his family\u201d on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt is with great sadness that we can confirm Patrick Godfrey passed away last night,\u201d they said in a statement<\/a>, adding: \u201cPaddy was an exceptionally talented actor and a remarkable individual, and we will miss him greatly.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBorn Feb. 13, 1933 in London, Godfrey won a Carleton Hobbs Bursary Award in 1956, earning him a six-month contract with BBC\u2019s Radio Drama Company. He made his onscreen debut in a 1959 episode of Sunday\u2019s Child.<\/p>\n

\n\tGodfrey appeared in multiple TV shows over the decades, including Doctor Who, Midsomer Murders, Doc Martin and His Dark Materials.<\/p>\n

\n\tHis film credits include roles in A Room with a View (1985), Ever After (1998), The Count of Monte Cristo (2002), The Importance of Being Earnest (2002), Oliver Twist (2005), The History Boys (2006), The Duchess (2008), Breathe (2017) and Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle (2018).<\/p>\n

\n\tAlso a stage actor, Godfrey starred in Broadway\u2019s The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby in 1981, followed by the West End\u2019s As You Like It in 2016 and Witness for the Prosecution in 2021. <\/p>\n

\n\tAdditionally, he provided voiceovers on the video games BioShock 2 (2010), Red Dead Redemption (2010) and Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018).<\/p>\n
