Tiger Woods is \u201cdoing the best he can\u201d in rehab in Switzerland while his girlfriend Vanessa Trump continues her recovery from breast cancer in the United States, according to a source speaking to PEOPLE.<\/p>\n

Woods<\/a>, 50, is currently understood to be continuing treatment<\/a> at a specialist facility in Switzerland, where he is expected to remain until the end of June.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Woods’ rehabilitation comes at a particularly difficult personal moment, with the 15-time major champion also said to be providing support to Trump following her recent diagnosis, which was revealed last month.<\/p>\n

According to PEOPLE<\/a>, the golf icon’s recovery plan remains broadly on track.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe original plan was for Tiger to do three months in rehab, which should stay on target unless something major changes,\u201d claimed an insider with information on Woods’ situation.<\/p>\n

Woods\u2019 current rehabilitation period began after a car crash and resulting DUI arrest<\/a> in Florida at the end of March, following which he sought treatment and stepped back from public life to focus on his health.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to police reports, the 82-time PGA Tour winner showed signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene the crash in which he struck another vehicle and rolled his Land Rover.<\/p>\n

The former world number one refused a urine test and pleaded not guilty, so no official post-crash toxicology results were released.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, police found two hydrocodone pills in his pocket, and Woods admitted to officers at the scene that he had taken prescription medications earlier in the day, including Vicodin, high blood pressure, and cholesterol drugs.<\/p>\n
