The Washington Post reports that Kojima also said AI works best as a \u2018janitor for creative chores, and that humans need to stay in the room where art gets made.\u2019 But his latest comments have prompted an appraisal of Kojima\u2019s past on-the-record thoughts about generative AI.<\/p>\n
\u201cRather than having AI create visuals or anything like that, I\u2019m more interested in using AI in the control systems,\u201d Kojima told CNN in December <\/a>last year. “By using AI, enemy behavior could change based on the player\u2019s experience, actions and patterns. That kind of dynamic response would make much deeper gameplay possible.\u201d<\/p>\n Also last year, Kojima told Wired Japan that he sees \u201ca future where [he stays] one step ahead; creating together with AI.\u201d He even referred to AI as a \u201cfriend,\u201d suggesting it could be used to boost efficiency.<\/p>\n
