\n South Moor Golf Club, based in Stanley, has partnered once again with Consett Rotary Club to organise the event, which will take place on June 19.\n<\/p>\n
\n Entry costs \u00a3150 per team of four, and the event is open to both men and women.\n<\/p>\n
\n Chris Robson, event organiser, South Moor Golf Club member and Consett Rotarian, said: “Last year\u2019s fundraising effort was a brilliant success and showed what can be achieved when the club and local community work together.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We\u2019re looking forward to welcoming everyone back for another fantastic day and hopefully raising even more money for charity this year.”\n<\/p>\n

\n Last year’s charity day raised \u00a36,000, thanks to the support of players, sponsors, and local businesses.\n<\/p>\n
\n South Moor Golf Club raised more than \u00a31,300 for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation through the club captain\u2019s charity events in 2024.\n<\/p>\n
\n Funds raised from this year’s event will support a multiple sclerosis charity, Willowburn Hospice, and the Rotary Club\u2019s dementia-friendly choir.\n<\/p>\n
\n Golfers and businesses from across the region are encouraged to take part in the four-person team event, which will include a full round of golf and an evening presentation.\n<\/p>\n
\n The day will feature competitions such as nearest-the-pin and longest-drive, along with raffles and other fundraising activities.\n<\/p>\n
