Track cyclist Grace Lister will travel with greater expectations when she heads to her second Commonwealth Games next month.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old from Shrewsbury was last week named in a 23-strong England cycling squad for the Games, which begin in Glasgow on 23 July.<\/p>\n

Lister finished 14th in both the individual pursuit and the scratch race on her Commonwealth Games debut as an 18-year-old in Birmingham four years ago.<\/p>\n

Now she is hoping to build on that experience.<\/p>\n

“The last Games I was just there for the experience because it was a super big event that I wasn’t used to at the time,” Lister told BBC Radio Shropshire.<\/p>\n

“So hopefully I can take learnings from that into these Games, and cope with the nerves and the expectations you have of yourself.”<\/p>\n

Lister will compete in the women’s team pursuit, individual pursuit and points race at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.<\/p>\n

Having won a European Championship bronze medal<\/a> with the Great Britain women’s pursuit team last year, she is now keen to add to her collection.<\/p>\n

“I will have more performance targets for these Games,” Lister added.<\/p>\n

“It will be more about actually trying to getting a medal or perform well because the last Games was more about going for the experience, so hopefully I can take that with me and put it to use.<\/p>\n
