Kent Cricket is delighted to announce the signing of Bangladesh Test fast bowler Hasan Mahmud<\/a> for six Rothesay County Championship matches, spanning from June until the end of the season, subject to regulatory approval.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old will be available for Kent\u2019s two Championship fixtures this month \u2013 away at Lancashire from 12 until 15 June, and then Middlesex at home during the 174th Canterbury Cricket Week from 19 until 22 June.<\/p>\n

Hasan will then return to Kent for four Championship matches to conclude the season across September.<\/p>\n

The right-arm fast seamer has taken 36 Test wickets since making his debut for Bangladesh against Sri Lanka in March 2024, and has career-best Test innings bowling figures of 5 for 43, against Pakistan in August 2024.<\/p>\n

He will be the first Bangladesh international to play for Kent in the Club\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

ECB regulations state that county sides can register up to four overseas players in a squad per format at any time, with two permitted in any Playing XI. Keith Dudgeon\u2019s Kent stint in 2026 covers the entire season and across all formats, whilst Senuran Muthusamy will also join Kent from 1 August until the end of the Summer.<\/p>\n

On joining Kent, Hasan said: \u201cI am honoured to have the opportunity to play county cricket for a historic club like Kent.<\/p>\n

Kent\u2019s Director of Cricket, Simon Cook, said: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted that the opportunity has arisen for us to welcome Hasan to our squad, adding international pace to our attack for the conclusion of the season.<\/p>\n

\u201cHasan\u2019s arrival reinforces the strong foundations we\u2019ve built within the squad and gives us the opportunity to approach our remaining Championship matches with fresh energy, to push for promotion, particularly with Matt Milnes and Keith Dudgeon having carried a significant workload during the first half of the Summer.<\/p>\n

Canterbury Cricket Week, the oldest surviving cricket festival in the world, takes place this June!<\/p>\n

Canterbury Cricket Week in 2026 will begin with Kent Men\u2019s Rothesay County Championship fixture at home to Middlesex from Friday 19 June, before two Men\u2019s Vitality Blast matches: Kent Spitfires\u2019 first ever Crossover Match against Notts Outlaws on Friday 26 June, and Kent Spitfires vs. Hampshire Hawks on Sunday 28 June.<\/p>\n

Kent Women will once again be an integral part of Canterbury Cricket Week \u2013 Sunday 28 June is one of two Vitality Blast Double Headers at the St Lawrence Ground this Summer, with the Horses taking on Northamptonshire Steelbacks Women before Spitfires vs. Hawks. This will be the first ever Kent Men & Women Double Header to take place during \u2018Canterbury Week\u2019.<\/p>\n
