{"id":629621,"date":"2026-06-09T17:54:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T17:54:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/629621\/"},"modified":"2026-06-09T17:54:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T17:54:09","slug":"raul-jimenez-wolves-re-sign-mexico-striker-from-premier-league-fulham","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/629621\/","title":{"rendered":"Raul Jimenez: Wolves re-sign Mexico striker from Premier League Fulham"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Wolves have agreed a two-year deal to re-sign striker Raul Jimenez on a free transfer from Fulham.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 35-year-old has completed a medical and has an option for a further year at Molineux as relegated Wolves prepare for a Championship campaign next season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He will team up with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/sport\/football\/articles\/c70yz917vkko\" class=\"ssrcss-1fqyhkk-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">former England full-back Kieran Trippier,<\/a> also 35, and becomes the club&#8217;s second free signing of the summer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Trippier has also committed to a two-year deal after leaving Newcastle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Jimenez was listed by Fulham on Monday among a group of players set to leave the Premier League club when his contract expires at the end of June.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">His return to Wolves means he can add to his previous 57 goals and 166 games for the club between 2018 and 2023, which followed a move from Benfica.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The deal agreement comes while Jimenez is on international duty with World Cup co-hosts Mexico, who will begin the tournament against South Africa on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Wolves are looking to rebuild after finishing bottom of the Premier League last season, meaning they will compete in the second tier for the first time since 2017-18.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Wolves have agreed a two-year deal to re-sign striker Raul Jimenez on a free transfer from Fulham.
