From the get-go, Channel 4\u2019s Tip Toe<\/a> has been airing snippets of a flash forward indicating that it would end with a brutal act of violence, although few details of what.<\/p>\n Single gay bar owner Leo (played by Alan Cumming<\/a>) and married father and electrician Clive (David Morrissey<\/a>) had lived next door relatively harmoniously for the past 15 years.<\/p>\n But an escalating feud between the neighbours takes place over one fateful week and results in a scene that no one saw coming.<\/p>\n Tip Toe ending explained<\/p>\n The horrific sequence of events of Tip Toe\u2019s final episode begins after Zee (Iz Hesketh) takes Clive\u2019s son George (Jackson Connor) on a night out in Manchester\u2019s iconic Gay Village.<\/p>\n They happily drink excessively which leads to them sharing photos of 16-year-old George sporting a glamorous new makeover.<\/p>\n Leo is played by actor Alan Cumming in Channel 4’s Tip Toe(Image: CHANNEL 4)<\/p>\n The next day, George finds himself being the target of an aggressive guy called Roddy (George Miller) who is attending his brother Saul\u2019s (Joseph Evans) football viewing party.<\/p>\n Zee, who has now changed her name to Flo, tries to remove George from the drink-fuelled situation but insists he can handle Roddy\u2019s remarks.<\/p>\n Also concerned, Leo tries to intervene to make sure everyone is alright but this heightens tensions and minutes later, Clive sees a series of images and videos streamed to the TV that he wasn\u2019t expecting.<\/p>\n They reveal Clive\u2019s eldest son\u2019s online sex work and his youngest son\u2019s night out in the Gay Village but he is then mocked by the others for previously helping an attacked drag queen.<\/p>\n The group mocks him with Roddy suggesting that Clive was having an affair with the drag queen, acting as a catalyst for what comes next.<\/p>\n In an extreme and malignant attempt to reassert his masculinity, Clive and his group of rowdy football-loving guests attack Leo, before fatally hanging him from a lamppost outside his home.<\/p>\n While the rest of the group runs off, Clive stands there in shock at what they had just done.<\/p>\n Channel 4’s Tip Toe ends with Clive and his football mates brutally attacking and killing Leo(Image: CHANNEL 4)<\/p>\n Channel 4 viewers have been left stunned by the final events of Tip Toe, with many flocking to X to express their outrage and shock.<\/p>\n \u201cThe last episode of Tip Toe is one of the most horrific things I’ve ever seen in my life. I am in bits\u201d, someone wrote.<\/p>\n A second said: \u201cThey warned us right at the start. And they showed glimpses each episode.<\/p>\n \u201cBut really nothing could prepare for seeing the dehumanisation and the pack mentality of Clive and his footy mates that brought about the sheer horror of the final outcome. \u201cScreaming at the TV.\u201d<\/p>\n Another wrote: \u201cThe last 15 minutes of #tiptoe are some of the most harrowing 15 minutes of a TV drama I’ve seen for quite some time (if ever).\u201d<\/p>\n Someone else on X described it as \u201cterrifying\u201d and a \u201cdevastating wake up call.\u201d<\/p>\n Reddit users also voiced their reaction with a fan writing: \u201cI am shocked, it is amazing, traumatic and mentally scarring\u2026 this show is still amazing, though mentally and emotionally challenging to almost breaking point for me.\u201d<\/p>\n Channel 4’s Tip Toe reveals the fate of all the characters, including Melba who spends the rest of his life getting “blind drunk”(Image: CHANNEL 4)<\/p>\n A fellow viewer added: \u201cI have no idea how I\u2019ll be able to unwind enough to sleep tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n But Tip Toe doesn\u2019t end there as a series of text reveals what happened to everyone next.<\/p>\n It states that most of those involved in Leo\u2019s death are convicted as accomplices to murder and sentenced to up to 10 years but on appeal reduced to four or five.<\/p>\n Roddy gets a life sentence and Clive a mandatory life sentence.<\/p>\n It goes on to describe that Marie Goss (Pooky Quesnel), George and Saul move to Whitby, then Scotland and change their surnames.<\/p>\n \u201cGeorge is always in trouble. Drops out of university. A lot of convictions for drug-related offences\u201d, the text reads.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, \u201cSaul thinks his life is over. But then he meets a lovely woman called Annie\u201d, who he has three children with.<\/p>\n Elsewhere, \u201cZee chooses the name Sarah and becomes a teacher\u201d and \u201cMelba gets blind drunk on this day, for the rest of his life.\u201d<\/p>\n Spit and Polish is inherited by Leo\u2019s ex-partner Curtis (Charlie Condou) who sells it and it becomes a pizzeria.<\/p>\n The final caption disturbingly reads: \u201cAnd Leo\u2019s story isn\u2019t over.
