Emily Atack<\/a> has been left \u2018surprised\u2019 by her friends\u2019 response to her declaration that kids won\u2019t be invited to her wedding.<\/p>\n

The Rivals <\/a>star, 36, is set to tie the knot with fianc\u00e9 Alistair Garner in a three-day star-studded ceremony in Spain.<\/p>\n

She previously teased the big day is going to be \u2018chaos\u2019, but that should be helped by the fact there\u2019s no little children running around.<\/p>\n

Emily, who is mum to Barney, two, shared the plans on The Romesh Ranganathan<\/a> Show podcast<\/a> and revealed her friends\u2019 response shocked her.<\/p>\n

\u2018We\u2019re being kind to our friends and making sure that people don\u2019t have to worry too much about paying for lots of things, but we have said no kids at the wedding, no children,\u2019 she revealed.<\/p>\n

Knowing this would be a divisive move, The Inbetweeners<\/a> star mentally prepared for some pushback from guests.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m surprised by how many people are happy about that,\u2019 Emily revealed. \u2018I thought I\u2019d get a lot of people kicking off, but they\u2019re like, \u201cno, \u2018f*** those kids\u201d.\u2019<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, the actress and her materials scientist partner relocated from North London to the countryside for their \u2018dream home\u2019.<\/a><\/p>\n

The new pad has gorgeous stained glass windows in the entrance, a quaint kitchen with exposed brick walls, and a huge oak storage unit in the dining room.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the wedding plans to Hello <\/a>previously, Emily shared: \u2018It\u2019s going to be lovely. I\u2019ve really enjoyed planning it. It\u2019s going to be three days of joy with all my favourite people; it\u2019s going to be chaos.\u2019<\/p>\n

The reported guest list includes her Rivals family as well as industry friends like Celebrity Juice host Leigh Francis aka Keith Lemon.<\/p>\n

Emily keeps her blossoming family out of the spotlight as much as possible, but did share that she\u2019s not looking to expand their little trio any time soon.<\/p>\n

\u2018I love babies, but I\u2019m focusing on my little Barney for now, because he\u2019s a handful and he\u2019s keeping me on my toes,\u2019 she shared.<\/p>\n

Thankfully, with her busy career \u2013 which included flying to Budapest<\/a> for a show 11 weeks post-partum \u2013 Alistair has been a rock.<\/p>\n

\u2018I know Al will look after me and Barney,\u2019 she told The Times previously. \u2018I know he will be the best father and the best husband eventually.\u2019<\/p>\n

Emily added: \u2018I am happier than I ever thought I could be.\u2019<\/p>\n

The couple had known each other as children but reconnected in 2022, with Dr Al popping the question<\/a> in July last year.<\/p>\n
