{"id":630440,"date":"2026-06-10T03:40:12","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T03:40:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/630440\/"},"modified":"2026-06-10T03:40:12","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T03:40:12","slug":"tom-savage-worcester-warriors-sign-former-gloucester-lock-from-super-rugby-side-moana-pasifika-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/630440\/","title":{"rendered":"Tom Savage: Worcester Warriors sign former Gloucester lock from Super Rugby side Moana Pasifika"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Champ Rugby winners Worcester Warriors have signed former Gloucester lock Tom Savage from Super Rugby side Moana Pasifika.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 37-year-old spent eight seasons with the Cherry and Whites before moving to Japanese top-flight side Tokyo Sungoliath in 2019.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">After four seasons in Japan he signed for Moana Pasifika with his three-year stint also including a spell playing provincial rugby in New Zealand for North Harbour.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Savage is the second senior signing of the close season, following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/sport\/rugby-union\/articles\/cgkpllk05jgo\" class=\"ssrcss-18834jl-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Exeter scrum-half Charlie Chapman&#8217;s <\/a>move to Sixways.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Tom is someone who drives high performance and togetherness from his team-mates,&#8221; Warriors head coach Matt Everard <a href=\"https:\/\/warriors.co.uk\/news\/warriors-announce-signing-of-tom-savage\/\" class=\"ssrcss-18834jl-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">said., external<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;As a player, Tom brings a huge amount of experience and leadership.
