According to the suit, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday, the unnamed plaintiff, who had been working as a child actor since 2004, attended a networking event in Hollywood Hills in May 2007 at which Combs was present. <\/p>\n
At the event, the plaintiff alleged Combs asked to speak to him privately about a project he was producing, then guided the plaintiff to a back room where he offered the minor sips of his alcoholic beverage before allegedly removing his pants and performing oral sex.<\/p>\n
The suit names Combs and the plaintiff\u2019s former agents as defendants, accusing them of conspiring to create an \u201cevent disguised as an industry meeting in order to provide Defendant Combs with an opportunity to come into contact with minor children.\u201d<\/p>\n
Combs\u2019 spokesperson Juda Engelmayer said the \u201callegations from this so-called nameless child actor are false and ridiculous\u201d in a statement to Forbes, calling the plaintiff \u201canother hater in a long list of people trying to get in on the money gravy train encouraged by personal injury lawyers,\u201d adding Combs has \u201cnever sexually assaulted anyone\u2014and that includes any child.\u201d<\/p>\n

Named alongside Combs as defendants are Lang Talent, its founder Diedre Lang and Amsel, Eisenstadt, Frazier & Hinojosa Talent Agency, whom the plaintiff says are talent agents he hired to represent him as a child actor. The plaintiff alleged his agents sent him the invitation to the networking event at which Combs was present, but he accused them of creating the risk he would \u201cencounter powerful adult industry figures\u201d where he may be \u201cvulnerable to manipulation, coercion, exploitation, and abuse\u201d because of his age. The plaintiff brought eight claims, most of which are against all the defendants, though the claims of negligence exclude Combs. Under the negligence claim, the plaintiff accused his agents of knowing about Combs\u2019 allegedly \u201csexually deviant propensities and prior sexually predatory misconduct,\u201d but said they \u201cfailed to take any preventive action\u201d to protect him from such conduct. Other claims include childhood sexual assault, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent supervision of a minor and false imprisonment\u2014which refers to Combs leading the plaintiff to a back room, where he shut the door and allegedly assaulted the plaintiff.<\/p>\n

Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison, which he is serving at New Jersey\u2019s Fort Dix federal prison, after a jury last summer convicted him on two counts of violating the Mann Act, which outlaws transportation to engage in prostitution. The jury acquitted him of more serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. The rapper\u2019s legal troubles began in late 2023, when his former girlfriend and a key witness at his federal trial, Cassie Ventura, sued him for rape and physical abuse. Combs settled with Ventura for a reported $20 million. Since Ventura\u2019s lawsuit, Combs has been sued dozens of times, including from several plaintiffs who said<\/a> they were minors<\/a> at the time of the alleged incidents. Combs has consistently denied wrongdoing in all civil suits and pleaded not guilty to his federal criminal charges.
