\n Guy Humphrey has spent months training to complete a mammoth cycle from Land’s End in Cornwall to John O’Groats in north eastern Scotland.\n<\/p>\n
\n The 29-year-old, who works at M&S’s Sweet Briar store in Norwich, was selected to take part in the challenge alongside 17 other colleagues from all over the UK.\n<\/p>\n
\n He has spent hours preparing for the gruelling cycle, which will cover 874 miles, taking place over 10 days in aid of YoungMinds.\n<\/p>\n
\n He said: \u201cI\u2019ve been training six days a week through a mixture of long rides, runs and strength training to build up my core and help prevent injuries.\n<\/p>\n

\n \u201cI haven\u2019t challenged myself to this degree before, but I can\u2019t wait for the journey ahead.\n<\/p>\n
\n “The most challenging aspect will probably be dealing with the unexpected if things don’t go exactly to plan along the route.\n<\/p>\n
\n “I\u2019m really looking forward to taking in all the scenery the UK has to offer, exploring places I\u2019ve never been, and meeting the rest of the team.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Mental health is so important, and it can affect absolutely anyone.\n<\/p>\n

\n “I\u2019m sure everyone in the community can connect in some way or another to YoungMinds and their goals.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Mr Humphrey, who is from Great Yarmouth, is particularly excited about making it to Scotland towards the end of the ride.\n<\/p>\n
\n “I think reaching Scotland will be absolutely amazing,” he said.\n<\/p>\n
\n “I can only imagine the views will be incredible.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The group set off on June 4 and are aiming to reach John O’ Groats on June 13.\n<\/p>\n
