{"id":631084,"date":"2026-06-10T11:56:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T11:56:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/631084\/"},"modified":"2026-06-10T11:56:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T11:56:08","slug":"manav-suthar-india-spinner-joins-warwickshire-for-two-games","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/631084\/","title":{"rendered":"Manav Suthar: India spinner joins Warwickshire for two games"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Warwickshire have signed India spinner Manav Suthar for their next two County Championship games.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The left-arm off-spinner made his Test debut earlier this month against Afghanistan, taking 6-33 in the first innings and 1-29 in the second.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He joins the Bears having taken 136 first-class wickets at an average of 24.89.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 23-year-old could make his debut against Yorkshire at Scarborough on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I&#8217;m incredibly excited to be joining Warwickshire for the next two County Championship games,&#8221; Suthar told the club website.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;The team have started the season very well, so I&#8217;m hoping that I can play a part in helping them in their push for the title.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Warwickshire are second in the Division One table, five points behind leaders Nottinghamshire, after six matches.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;We&#8217;ve played some good red-ball cricket already this season and Manav will bring a new aspect to our bowling attack,&#8221; Warwickshire performance director James Thomas added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;It shows how highly he&#8217;s rated in India after his selection to their Test team last week, so it&#8217;s going to be great to have him around the group.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Warwickshire have signed India spinner Manav Suthar for their next two County Championship games.
