{"id":632554,"date":"2026-06-11T06:15:23","date_gmt":"2026-06-11T06:15:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/632554\/"},"modified":"2026-06-11T06:15:23","modified_gmt":"2026-06-11T06:15:23","slug":"plans-for-parley-waste-recycling-facility-expanded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/632554\/","title":{"rendered":"Plans for parley waste recycling facility expanded"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A recycling and renewable energy company has submitted proposals to expand one of its planned facilities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Eco Sustainable Solutions recycles green and food waste for BCP Council and Dorset Council. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Its original plans for an energy recovery facility at Chapel Gate Eco Park at Parley, near Christchurch, Dorset, were approved by BCP Council in 2022. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The company says its updated proposals mean the 15.8-hectare site will be &#8220;more efficient and sustainable&#8221; and deal with non-recyclable materials.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The facility would convert the non-recyclable waste into electricity and heat for the national grid, which Eco Sustainable Solutions claims will reduce reliance on landfill and avoid the need to transport waste long distances elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">It also says the facility will generate power for more than 14,000 homes each year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">If approved construction could begin in 2029.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A recycling and renewable energy company has submitted proposals to expand one of its planned facilities.
