{"id":633050,"date":"2026-06-11T12:39:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-11T12:39:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/633050\/"},"modified":"2026-06-11T12:39:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-11T12:39:10","slug":"uk-investment-pool-establishes-new-leadership-team-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/633050\/","title":{"rendered":"UK investment pool establishes new leadership team | News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Northern Local Government Pension Scheme (NLGPS), the UK investment pool, has established its new leadership team, subject to regulatory approval, chief executive officer Paras Anand announced in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/paras-anand-a70871188_i-am-delighted-to-share-that-we-now-have-activity-7468350606789836800-6efJ?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=member_desktop&amp;rcm=ACoAAABLvn8B7RXexv7EHWISjawImXQk9B1iwKE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">LinkedIn post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>John Dewey has been appointed as the pool\u2019s chief investment officer, moving from his current role as CIO of the West\u00a0Yorkshire Pension Fund (WYPF) and bringing extensive experience as an investment leader at HSBC with a particular expertise in alternatives and investment strategy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNorthern LGPS starts from a position of strength: a deep tradition of internal management, a mature private markets capability, leadership in housing and natural capital, and a longstanding commitment to local investment that delivers for the communities we serve. I will bring passion, purpose and ambition to building on these foundations,\u201d Dewey stated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA heartfelt thank you to the team and stakeholders at WYPF. It has been a privilege to work alongside such a talented, dedicated and principled group of people. WYPF\u2019s assets and members\u2019 interests remain in the very safest of hands,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Lorraine Solway joins as chief risk officer from Octopus Money where she held the same role and has also served as CRO for Virgin Money and NEST.<\/p>\n<p>Sera Sadrettin<a id=\"ember40\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/sera-sadrettin-b0157622\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> joins as the chief financial operating officer, heading the finance and operations functions.
