Morgan Gannon will return to England at the end of the season, NRL side New Zealand Warriors have confirmed.<\/p>\n

Gannon is a former Leeds Rhinos academy product who played 68 Super League games for the club before departing down under ahead of the 2026 campaign.<\/p>\n

Joining the Warriors on a three-year deal, he will now only see out one of those three after being granted a release from his current contract due to \u201cpersonal circumstances.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old made his NRL debut back in March, but lasted just five minutes due to suffering yet another head knock.<\/p>\n

Concussions have been a big part of Gannon\u2019s career so far, with the back rower needing to take the full 2024 season away from the game in order to fully recover.<\/p>\n

Warriors CEO Cameron George<\/a> has released a statement confirming his end-of-season exit.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a tough decision for Morgan, but he has our support,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe appreciate having him with us and look forward to him finishing the year strongly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Leeds boss Brad Arthur confirmed to the press yesterday<\/a> that they were \u201caware\u201d of Gannon\u2019s situation, should they wish to bring the Halifax-born talent back to the club.<\/p>\n
