Tyson Fury<\/a> is gearing up for an August outing, ahead of his eventual showdown with Anthony Joshua<\/a>, touted for November.<\/p>\n

Now, one opponent who has been linked to a clash with \u2018The Gypsy King\u2019 has promised to \u2018ruin Fury\u2019s plans\u2019, if given the opportunity.<\/p>\n

Fury ended a 16-month spell of inactivity by outpointing Arslanbek Makhmudov back in April<\/a>, before making a beeline for Joshua in a post-fight interview and demanding a long-awaited fight with his perennial rival.<\/p>\n

Since then, it appears as though terms have been agreed, but the event still hinges on both men being successful in their respective \u2018tune-up\u2019 bouts, with \u2018AJ\u2019 scheduled to fight Albania\u2019s Kristian Prenga on Saturday, July 25.<\/p>\n

For Fury, an opponent is yet to be announced ahead of a reported August bout, but former unified heavyweight champion and Joshua conquerer, Andy Ruiz Jr, has been mentioned as one potential dance partner.<\/p>\n

Speaking to iFL TV<\/a>, \u2018The Destroyer\u2019 vowed that he would ruin Fury\u2019s plans and take his position in a fight with Joshua, if selected as his August opponent.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope so [that I get the Tyson Fury fight], but if they are smart, they wouldn\u2019t take it. What I have been telling everybody is, \u2018if I get that fight with Tyson Fury, you best believe; tell Eddie [Hearn], tell Turki [Al-Alshikh], tell everybody that I am going to mess up the plans\u2019, because I am gonna win that damn fight.<\/p>\n

\u201cBest believe that I am going to be the one ending up fighting Anthony Joshua, we are going to have that trilogy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ruiz then went on to reveal his hitlist, where he added Deontay Wilder\u2019s name into the mix, keen for a big fight next, despite being winless since September 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would love to fight Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua or [Deontay] Wilder. All of those big fights that we are supposed to make, I want to make \u2018em now. Now, I am ready, I am hungry, I want a piece of that pie.\u201d<\/p>\n
