Scott Lloyd, LTA Chief Executive, said: “Dan is an outstanding player who has made a huge contribution to tennis in this country. He cares deeply about the game and always wants the best for British tennis.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“He has always been very proud to represent his country in both Davis Cup and the Olympics, and we\u2019ve been lucky to have him as a core member of British teams for so many years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“We\u2019ll celebrate his career at the appropriate time and once he has finished playing we want to retain his knowledge and experience within the British game.”<\/p>\n

Evans has reached the highest level of the sport and has been one of Great Britain\u2019s most successful tennis stars throughout his career.<\/p>\n

After claiming his first ATP title in Melbourne back in 2021, Evans went on to reach a career-high ranking of world No.21 following the biggest trophy of his career at the ATP 500 in Washington.<\/p>\n

He is a three-time champion in home grass court events at Surbiton (2019) and Nottingham<\/a> (2019 and 2022), and became the first player to win three ATP Challenger trophies on grass for 23 years.<\/p>\n

Evans has been a huge part of the Great Britain Davis Cup<\/a> team over the years and was part of the squad that famously lifted the title in 2015.<\/p>\n

The 36-year-old has played in 28 ties for Great Britain since making his debut in 2009, winning 18 matches during that period.<\/p>\n
