But as validation turns into control, Annie spirals into obsession, isolation, and collapse \u2014 until she must choose between being \u201cirreplaceable\u201d and being free.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cPing\u00a0is about the burnout generation \u2014 people who were taught that if they worked harder, cared more, and became exceptional enough, they would eventually feel whole,\u201d Gordon told us. \u201cBut for so many people, ambition has become indistinguishable from addiction. This film asks what happens when the thing that makes you gifted is also the thing a system can use to consume you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tPing\u00a0hails from Power Ten Productions. Jamie Ember is the project\u2019s casting director.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tLawless stars alongside Michael Johnston and Inde Navarrette in this summer\u2019s horror sensation\u00a0Obsession\u00a0from Curry Barker, which has broken out as the top grosser in the history of Focus Features with over $234M worldwide to date. Previously, the actress has also been seen in films like\u00a0The Hate U Give\u00a0and\u00a0Table 19, as well as Hulu\u2019s\u00a0The Girl from Plainville.
