Hull KR skipper Elliot Minchella admits there have been “honest conversations” behind closed doors as the Robins look to bounce back from a difficult spell against York Knights this weekend.<\/p>\n

Rovers\u2019 seven-match winning streak was ended in dramatic fashion by Wakefield Trinity, who snatched a last-gasp victory just a week after Hull KR<\/a> were crushed 40-10 in the Challenge Cup final.<\/p>\n

The setback saw Wakefield leapfrog Hull KR in the Super League table, piling further pressure on Willie Peters’ side as they seek an immediate response on home soil.<\/p>\n

Despite the recent setbacks, captain Minchella insists there is no sense of panic within the camp.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve addressed some things, had some honest conversations like usual and we\u2019ve moved on after that Wakefield defeat,\u201d said captain Minchella.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no panic or anything like that, but there\u2019s definitely been some honest conversations, with standards and expectations laid out and we\u2019re trying to stride for them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hull KR have won eight of their 12 Super League matches and face a crucial run of fixtures against Leigh Leopards and Leeds Rhinos over the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Looking back on the campaign so far, Minchella admitted the Robins have yet to hit the heights they expected.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a mixture,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re probably not where we want to be, and it was disappointing to lose the Challenge Cup final. We want to be a bit higher up the table, so I guess we\u2019ve got work to do – but we\u2019ll run towards that, not away from it.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll see what we\u2019re made of, and I\u2019m looking forward to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

New recruit Tevita Pangai Junior is in line to make his highly anticipated debut, although Sauaso Sue will miss out through suspension<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pangai Jnr has overcome a calf injury and is expected to feature for the first time since returning to Super League following a spell in French rugby union.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s brought some size,” Minchella said of his new team-mate.<\/p>\n

“He\u2019s a big boy in the middle and I\u2019m looking forward to playing with him on Friday night.<\/p>\n

“We played against him last year and he\u2019s more than a handful, and he can be a big, aggressive impact player.<\/p>\n
