Former two-time heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman has questioned whether Tyson Fury<\/a>\u2019s \u201crecuperative powers\u201d will be effective enough to defeat Anthony Joshua<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The two Brits are expected to square off later this year, yet they must first come through their respective warm-up fights.<\/p>\n

Fury has already made his comeback by unanimously outpointing Arslanbek Makhmudov<\/a> in April, but \u2018The Gypsy King\u2019 now looks set to fight one more time before his clash with AJ.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s expected to return in August, with unbeaten 41-year-old Nelson Hysa having been named as a potential opponent<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Either way, Joshua must defeat his confirmed opponent, Kristian Prenga, in order to secure a long-awaited domestic dustup with Fury.<\/p>\n

The 36-year-old will face Prenga in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on July 25, fighting for the first time since engineering a sixth-round finish over Jake Paul in December.<\/p>\n

Following that victory, Joshua was involved in a tragic car crash that took the lives of his two close friends, forcing him to spend the subsequent months resting both mentally and physically.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the potential fight Rahman told B4 Champ<\/a> that the damage both Fury and \u2018AJ\u2019 have taken in previous fights play a factor in their potential encounter.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a pick \u2019em fight. I just feel like the damage both of these guys have suffered can manifest itself in any given fight.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know how they say you can get old in one fight? They\u2019re both old fighters, and they\u2019re starting to look old, so it can happen in any given moment.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnthony Joshua definitely has the power to hit Tyson and hurt him. Tyson has had amazing recuperative powers his entire career, but at [some] point he\u2019s got to go.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Joshua drops him, maybe he don\u2019t get up in 10 seconds.\u201d<\/p>\n
