{"id":635278,"date":"2026-06-12T18:06:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-12T18:06:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/635278\/"},"modified":"2026-06-12T18:06:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-12T18:06:08","slug":"bolton-dental-practice-praised-incqc-inspection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/635278\/","title":{"rendered":"Bolton dental practice praised inCQC inspection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Inspectors from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theboltonnews.co.uk\/news\/25843362.bolton-council-adult-social-care-services-rated-good-cqc-inspection\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Care Quality Commission<\/a> (CQC) carried out an announced inspection of Bupa Dental Care on Silverwell Street on May 11 and found the practice was meeting all required standards.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The positive report comes at a time when access to NHS dental appointments remains a concern for many patients across <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theboltonnews.co.uk\/local-news\/greater-manchester-news\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Greater Manchester<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The watchdog said the practice had effective systems in place to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control measures.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Inspectors also found staff were providing care and treatment in line with current guidance.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A report published following the visit stated: &#8220;Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The inspection also highlighted the practice&#8217;s leadership, with the CQC noting there was &#8220;effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement&#8221;.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Staffing arrangements were also praised.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Inspectors found employees had the skills, knowledge and experience required to carry out their roles and said recruitment procedures reflected current legislation.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Feedback from patients was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising both the professionalism of staff and the quality of communication during appointments.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The CQC said patients were &#8220;very complimentary about their treatment, the kindness and attitude of the staff and the cleanliness of the practice&#8221;.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Among the comments left by patients were: &#8220;I was given time to decide whether or not to go ahead with treatment&#8221;; &#8220;They always tell you what they are going to do&#8221;; and &#8220;My dentist explains everything to me in a clear and understanding manner.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Other patients described staff as &#8220;professional, respectful, kind and attentive&#8221; and praised the surgery&#8217;s cleanliness.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The Silverwell Street practice has been serving patients in Bolton since 1993 and is operated by Silverwell Surgery Ltd as part of the Bupa dental group.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  It provides NHS and private dental treatment for adults and children and has seven treatment rooms and a team of 26 staff.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Inspectors from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) carried out an announced inspection of Bupa Dental Care on Silverwell&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":635279,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[43],"tags":[102,2960,56,54,55],"class_list":["post-635278","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-healthcare","tag-health","tag-healthcare","tag-uk","tag-united-kingdom","tag-unitedkingdom"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/635278","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=635278"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/635278\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/635279"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=635278"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=635278"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=635278"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
