Deer spotted swimming in Cornwall<\/p>\n

A man was left surprised when he spotted two deer taking a swim in a tidal pool at Hayle<\/a> Estuary this weekend.<\/p>\n

The animals<\/a> enjoyed a little paddle in the water at Carnsew Pool on the RSPB nature reserve at around 10am.<\/p>\n

And the unusual sight was captured on camera by local man Will Buckley who said: “Not something you see every day. I just thought, it’s the last thing you expect to see when you go to work in the morning. It looked like they managed to get out near the railway.”<\/p>\n

It’s not the first time deer have been spotted taking a dip in rivers across Cornwall. Take a look here<\/a> at all the deer sightings in Cornish waters over recent years.<\/p>\n

Carnsew Pool is located at the eastern end of the Hayle Estuary. It is a tidal pool that attracts wildfowl, divers and waders, depending on the tide, with all six species of divers having been spotted in the pool.
