(Image: Station Road Dev Co Ltd)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A new street art mural is due to be created at the start of Garrard Street in the town centre, which has been hit with graffiti.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The Station Road Development Company applied for approximately 15 metres of wall to be covered in art containing a mix of cultural and artistic murals and sponsored commercial advertising.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Planning officer Jonathan Markwell judged the art installation to be compliant with council policies.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  There is an existing mural in Station Road advertising <a href=\"http:\/\/visit-reading.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">visit-reading.com<\/a>.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Conversion of offices into flats in the town centre (PL\/26\/0499 and PL\/26\/0498)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>Cross Street in Reading town centre. (Image: Cross Street in Reading town centre.)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Progress is being made on the conversion of offices into three one-bed flats in Cross Street.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The street is characterised by small shops, with the new flats being created above the Omeera beauty salon.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The building owner applied for the conversion not to have to comply with BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) standards, and details of the bin management plan.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Both of these were approved by the council&#8217;s planning department on June 8.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Replacement of paper sign with digital screen at fuel station (PL\/26\/0696)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>The plan for the removal of signboards and a oversized Costa Coffee cup to be replaced with a digital advertising board at the Leander Service Station in Henley Road, Caversham. (Image: Reading planning application PL\/26\/0696)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The company that owns the\u00a0Leander Service Station next to the Traveller&#8217;s Rest in Caversham has applied to replace paper-based advertising with a digital screen.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The fuel station in Henley Road stocks BP fuel with a Londis forecourt.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The plan involves two existing boards and an oversized Costa Coffee cup with a 2,400 mm to 1,230 mm digital screen.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Progress for entrance lodge at private school (PL\/26\/0694)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>A CGI design for the entrance lodge at Leighton Park School in Shinfield Road, Reading.
