Castleford Tigers boss Ryan Carr has assessed his side\u2019s 34-28 defeat at the hands of Catalans Dragons.<\/p>\n

After back-to-back wins over York and St Helens, Carr\u2019s men have now lost two after falling short against Leigh and now Catalans.<\/a><\/p>\n

After being 34-12 down, Tigers were able to bring the scores back to 34-28, but couldn\u2019t complete the comeback, with the deficit too big to overcome.<\/p>\n

Krystian Mapapalangi scored twice, whilst tries also came for Jason Qareqare, Joe Stimson and debutant Jack Brown, but it wouldn\u2019t be enough to claim the win over John Cartwright\u2019s men.<\/p>\n

He said to Sky Sports: \u201cYou can\u2019t concede 34 points and expect yourself to win. The possession was 60-40 for the majority of the game, and when it swung back we started to build our points.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were probably just a few moments that cost us\u201d<\/p>\n

As with most weeks this year, discipline was Castleford\u2019s kryptonite, with the side consistently being unable to bounce back after making errors and conceding penalties.<\/p>\n

Carr said that once again that was what contributed to the defeat, revealing: \u201cI thought we defended really well today. I know we conceded a few points, but I felt like we tackled as good as we\u2019ve tackled in a long time.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought our line speed was great. You\u2019re on half way and you\u2019re about to get the ball back and then you strip the ball and give them a penalty. It\u2019s just unacceptable at this level.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood teams are going to punish you for it, and unfortunately that\u2019s what happened to us tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cWe can score points. We\u2019re a good attacking team when we\u2019re on the same page and going after it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was really happy with our effort levels tonight. It\u2019s tough to travel over here, and I felt like the team went after it today, but that\u2019s one that I think that we missed tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n
