The Met Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was fatally stabbed in Southall, west London.<\/p>\n
Gurbhej Singh, 26, has been named as the victim and a murder inquiry is under way.<\/p>\n
Police were called at about 00:40 BST on Wednesday 10 June by the London Ambulance Service following reports of a stabbing on North Road, near the junction with Dormers Wells Lane.<\/p>\n
Two men were injured. Singh, who had suffered a knife wound, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second man, in his 30s, was treated at hospital and later discharged.<\/p>\n
Seven men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. <\/p>\n
The Met said six had been released with no further action, and one has been bailed to return at a later date.<\/p>\n
Det Ch Insp Alison Foxwell said detectives continue to investigate and her thoughts remain with his family and loved ones.<\/p>\n
She added: “We believe he was assaulted outside a shop at the junction of North Road and Dormers Well Lane at around 00:30.<\/p>\n
“I would urge anyone with CCTV covering the area – or who was in the area at the time and has not yet spoken to police \u2013 to please come forward.”<\/p>\n
