Cade Cust has been ruled out for up to four weeks with a shoulder injury – in another setback for Hull FC. <\/p>\n
The 27-year-old Australian hooker had been playing through the pain for the Black and Whites as he battled against a worsening problem.<\/p>\n
But interim coach Andy Last confirmed to BBC Radio Humberside that, after playing with cortisone injections last week against Warrington, Cust is now facing a spell on the sidelines.<\/p>\n
“Cade has been battling for a long way with an AC (acromioclavicular) joint injury. It is something that most rugby players suffer in the course of their career, with some more significant than others,” said Last.<\/p>\n
“He took a needle before the game last week but within 15 minutes felt as though it was still a bit sore.<\/p>\n
“He was brave enough to try again with a needle at half-time and managed to knock out 60 minutes for us but was very, very sore the following morning.<\/p>\n
“Cade went for a scan and there was a little bit more damage in there, so he is going to be missing for three to four weeks.”<\/p>\n
