{"id":638301,"date":"2026-06-14T13:38:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-14T13:38:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/638301\/"},"modified":"2026-06-14T13:38:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-14T13:38:08","slug":"brierfield-attempted-murder-charge-after-girl-stabbed-in-street","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/638301\/","title":{"rendered":"Brierfield attempted murder charge after girl stabbed in street"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A man has been charged with the attempted murder of a 17-year-old girl who was stabbed in the street. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The girl received stab wounds to her neck as she walked along Wood Street in Brierfield, Lancashire, at about 15:00 BST on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Junaid Nawaz, a 30-year-old described by Lancashire Police as a British-born local man of Pakistani heritage, has also been charged with possession of a knife in a public place.
