If it’s a police drama you’re after this weekend, we’ve got the perfect one to add to your must-watch list. For fans of shows like Line of Duty and The Responder comes Suspect, starring none other than James Nesbitt and Anne-Marie Duff. In fact, the whole cast is stellar.

But if you’ve never seen the show before, here’s everything you need to know about it, from the essential plot, where you can watch it, how many episodes there are and more.

What is Suspect about?

An unmissable police drama, Suspect is based on a Danish series called Face to Face. It follows an old school detective called Danny (played by James Nesbitt), who is shocked to discover his daughter’s body at the morgue when he is sent to identify the deceased. Though the coroner rules her death by suicide, he refuses to accept this – and instead sets about trying to uncover the truth by retracing her final few days.

The channel 4 description reads, “Psychological drama starring Anne-Marie Duff and James Nesbitt. A veteran detective and his psychotherapist ex-wife each face an agonising mission to uncover the truth about their daughter’s death.”

Will there be a season three of Suspect?

While season two ends on a cliffhanger and does leave the door open for future episodes of Suspect, so far, nothing has been announced by Channel 4.

Ben Miller gave quite a promising update on whether Richard would be back, telling The Mirror, “I wouldn’t rule it out. You know, still waters run deep. I don’t know. Yeah. As I say, he’s a seasoned star, and is a mysterious character. And just what his involvement is or isn’t quite hard to fathom at this stage. I think it’s safe to say, (and I don’t think this is a spoiler) that he does appear to be involved. But to what extent he is, we don’t really know.”

[29
150531,379,215665,381,96,190731,1156,215664,391,56,54,55
post-639107","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-tv","tag-collection-tv","tag-content-type-news","tag-contentid-2a843d5c-64b0-4629-9380-eb92e9fc85a2","tag-displaytype-standard-article","tag-entertainment","tag-issyndicated-false","tag-locale-gb","tag-shorttitle-the-channel-4-series-perfect-for-line-of-duty-fans","tag-tv","tag-uk","tag-united-kingdom","tag-unitedkingdom
["GET
