Yes, Top Gun 3 is \u201cofficially in development<\/a> with a script underway,\u201d Josh Greenstein, co-head of Paramount Pictures, said at April 2026’s CinemaCon in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

During the Paramount presentation, Greenstein confirmed that the upcoming sequel will be \u201creuniting Tom Cruise and Jerry Bruckheimer<\/a>.\u201d The Armageddon director produced the franchise’s first two films.<\/p>\n

During a July 2024 interview on the Happy Sad Confused<\/a> podcast, Powell \u2014 who played Lt. Jake “Hangman” Seresin in the sequel \u2014 said, “I mean, I have a date,” when asked when filming for Top Gun 3 would begin.<\/p>\n
