Roy Jones Jr<\/a> has no doubt who would have come out on top in a fantasy match-up between Floyd Mayweather and Sugar Ray Leonard<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Boxing legends Mayweather and Leonard<\/a> both have the honour of being five-weight world champions, but it is perhaps their respective times at welterweight where they were each at the peak of their powers.<\/p>\n

Mayweather defeated the likes of Manny Pacquiao, Shane Mosley and Juan Manuel Marquez in the 147lb division, while Leonard became undisputed welterweight champion after wins over fellow \u2018Four Kings\u2019 icons Roberto Duran and Thomas Hearns.<\/a><\/p>\n

It has often led fans to debate how a clash between Mayweather and Leonard would have played out were they to meet in their primes at welterweight, and Hall of Fame inductee Jones is certain what the result would have been.<\/p>\n

Speaking to All The Smoke Fight<\/a>, Jones couldn\u2019t see any possible way that Mayweather would have been victorious.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo me, people don\u2019t give him enough credit. People always say \u2018Well Floyd would have beaten Sugar,\u2019 no baby, Floyd is not as nearly as mean as Sugar was.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow? [would Mayweather win]. How you going to keep him off him? Sugar is a dog. People don\u2019t understand. Just because his name\u2019s Sugar don\u2019t mean nothing! Sugar is a dog, people don\u2019t give him enough credit for that.\u201d<\/p>\n
