June 15 (Reuters) – SpaceX will release quarterly and annual financial results, besides other material \u200cnews, only through its website and social \u200cmedia account on X and not through wire distribution services, \u200bit said in a filing on Monday.<\/p>\n
The move marks a departure from standard corporate communication practices, which typically involve newswire services like Business Wire or \u200cPR Newswire to \u2060reach a broad audience of investors and media outlets.<\/p>\n
SpaceX said it “encourages members of \u2060the investment community, the media, and others to follow” its investor relations page on its website and \u200bits X \u200baccount to review \u200bthe information disclosed through \u200cthose channels.<\/p>\n
Shares of the company closed around 19% higher on Monday. They were up about 2% in extended trading.<\/p>\n
Earlier in the day, the company said its underwriters had exercised the “greenshoe” option to \u200cpurchase additional shares, increasing the \u200btotal proceeds from its initial \u200bpublic offering to $85.7 \u200bbillion.<\/p>\n
Elon Musk’s rocket, AI and internet \u200cconglomerate had raised a record $75 \u200bbillion through \u200bthe sale of 555.56 million shares at $135 apiece, becoming the largest IPO in history even \u200bbefore the greenshoe \u200coption was exercised.<\/p>\n
