{"id":640758,"date":"2026-06-16T00:39:12","date_gmt":"2026-06-16T00:39:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/640758\/"},"modified":"2026-06-16T00:39:12","modified_gmt":"2026-06-16T00:39:12","slug":"warrington-wolves-youngsters-season-ending-injury-confirmed-as-club-share-injury-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/640758\/","title":{"rendered":"Warrington Wolves youngster&#8217;s season-ending injury confirmed as club share injury update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/OH8_8720.jpg\" class=\"attachment- size- wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"  \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Warrington Wolves have confirmed that young centre Zack Gardner will miss the rest of the season through injury.<\/p>\n<p>Gardner made his first appearance of 2026 in the win over St Helens on Thursday night, but only lasted around eight minutes before needing to leave the field with a shoulder injury.<\/p>\n<p>Scan results have now come back, and the 20-year-old is now set for a lengthy lay-off that will see him sidelined for the remainder of 2026.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.seriousaboutrl.com\/rugby-league-news-sam-burgess-sets-out-stall-on-warrington-wolves-halves-as-injury-update-issued-after-key-win-115941\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Burgess originally thought that Gardner had been knocked out,<\/a> which led to some frustration on his part when the match continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe didn\u2019t look right on the floor, so I was a bit upset that the game didn\u2019t stop in the moment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s in a bit of pain. It\u2019s sad for Zack as he\u2019s shown a bit of promise, but he\u2019s had a couple of niggles.
