{"id":641054,"date":"2026-06-16T04:56:15","date_gmt":"2026-06-16T04:56:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/641054\/"},"modified":"2026-06-16T04:56:15","modified_gmt":"2026-06-16T04:56:15","slug":"victim-named-in-leeds-murder-investigation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/641054\/","title":{"rendered":"Victim named in Leeds murder investigation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A woman whose death has prompted a murder investigation has been named by police as Gosia Wiktor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Wiktor, 51, was found seriously injured at a property on Foster Square, in the Belle Isle area of Leeds, on Thursday morning and died at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A 52-year-old man, who was taken to hospital in a &#8220;critical condition&#8221; and arrested on suspicion of murder, is now in police custody, West Yorkshire Police said on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">In a tribute issued through police, Wiktor&#8217;s family described her as &#8220;a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and cousin&#8221;, who was &#8220;the heart of our family&#8221; and &#8220;a source of warmth, love, and joy&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A woman whose death has prompted a murder investigation has been named by police as Gosia Wiktor.
