A man has been released on bail after a woman was allegedly pushed into the path of a bus in south-west London nine years ago. <\/p>\n
CCTV footage appeared to show a jogger running along Putney Bridge and shoving the woman into the road in May 2017. The bus swerved to avoid her, meaning she was not seriously injured.<\/p>\n
The 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm on Monday and then released on bail, the Metropolitan Police said.<\/p>\n
The force previously closed its investigation after three men were arrested and later released without charge.<\/p>\n
The footage of the incident shows a bus being forced to swerve into the lane next to them to avoid hitting the woman.<\/p>\n
Sgt Mat Knowles said at the time: “It was only due to the superb quick reactions of the bus driver that she was not hit by the vehicle.”<\/p>\n
Detectives identified more than 50 people of interest before closing the investigation in 2018, saying that all lines of inquiry had been exhausted.<\/p>\n
