{"id":641727,"date":"2026-06-16T14:12:16","date_gmt":"2026-06-16T14:12:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/641727\/"},"modified":"2026-06-16T14:12:16","modified_gmt":"2026-06-16T14:12:16","slug":"real-madrid-nico-paz-reaches-decision-on-joining-arsenal-after-jose-mourinho-chat-over-future","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/641727\/","title":{"rendered":"Real Madrid: Nico Paz reaches decision on joining Arsenal after Jose Mourinho \u2018chat\u2019 over future"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nico Paz has no plans to move to Arsenal and play under Gunners manager Mikel Arteta, despite Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho being unlikely to bring him back to Estadio Bernabeu from Como.<\/p>\n<p>Paz joined Como from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/real-madrid\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Real Madrid<\/a> in the summer of 2024 and has been one of the best players in Serie A in the past two seasons.<\/p>\n<p>The Argentina international attacking midfielder has scored 19 goals and given 17 assists in 75 appearances for Como, who will play in the Champions League next season under manager Cesc Fabregas.<\/p>\n<p>Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported back in November 2025 that Madrid were planning to bring Paz back to the club in the summer of 2026 by triggering the buy-back clause of \u20ac9million (\u00a37.8m) in his contract.<\/p>\n<p>Romano wrote on\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/FabrizioRomano\/status\/1993249879209214220\" target=\"_blank\">X<\/a>\u00a0at 9:26am on November 25: \u201cReal Madrid are planning to bring back Nico P\u00e1z as their first signing for 2026 as revealed months ago.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnderstand the buy back clause is NOT valid in January and Como want to keep him until summer.<\/p>\n<p>READ<a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/real-madrid-newcastle-united-jose-mourinho-nick-woltemade\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">: Jose Mourinho wants record-breaking Newcastle star at Real Madrid in \u2018swap\u2019 deal \u2013 report<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe plan is to make the deal happen in June 2026. Nico already said YES.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Xabi Alonso was then in charge of Madrid, who have appointed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/tag\/jose-mourinho\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jose Mourinho<\/a> as their manager for next season and beyond.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/romano-real-madrid-advance-rodri-agreement-man-city-hero\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mourinho has been key to Madrid signing Bernardo Silva<\/a> as a free agent following his departure from Manchester City.<\/p>\n<p>With Arda Guler also in the Madrid squad, Paz would struggle to hold down a regular place in the Madrid team.<\/p>\n<p>Nico Paz rejects Arsenal approach<\/p>\n<p>According to ESPN journalist Rodra, Arsenal have shown interest in Paz, but the 21-year-old Argentina international attacking midfielder has no plans to move to the Premier League champions.<\/p>\n<p>READ MORE:\u00a0<a Calafiori<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The reporter has also revealed that Mourinho and Paz had a chat over the youngster\u2019s future at Madrid.<\/p>\n<p>Rodra posted on <a rel=\"noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Rodra10_97\/status\/2066612454566547552\" target=\"_blank\">X<\/a> at 9:02pm on June 15: \u201cThere was a chat between Mourinho and Nico Paz.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRight now, it\u2019s more likely that he\u2019ll stay one more year at Como.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cArsenal also showed interest in Nico, but he wants to stick with Fabregas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The report in <a rel=\"noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/espndeportes.espn.com\/futbol\/nota\/_\/id\/16838423\/real-madrid-dudas-nico-paz-futuro\" target=\"_blank\">ESPN<\/a> has claimed that Arsenal \u2018have also expressed interest in the Argentine player, but without making any concrete progress\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Nico Paz could stay at Como<\/p>\n<p>The report has further stated: \u2018Several sources tell ESPN that Jose Mourinho and Nico Paz have already had a conversation to discuss the future of the 21-year-old midfielder, without yet resolving where he will play next season.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Nico Paz is very happy at Como and would love to stay another year in Italy, with the added bonus of playing in the Champions League.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Transfer guru Romano has said that while no final decision has been made, Paz has told Madrid that he wants to stay at Como for another season.<\/p>\n<p>Romano wrote on X at 11:38am on June 16: \u201cNo doubts since last week on Nico Paz preference to stay at Como for one more season, even more after Bernardo deal \u2014 Real Madrid are informed of that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut Como and Real are still in talks to find the best solution about Nico deal, all
