Directed by Veronica Rodriguez, the story follows Luna (Blaise) and Beni (Adlon), \u201ctwo best friends terrified of growing old who travel to Palm Springs to reclaim their vitality.\u201d<\/p>\n Untitled Duffer Brothers Film <\/p>\n Deadline<\/a> additionally has word Matt and Ross Duffer are attached to direct a currently untitled \u201cevent film\u201d at Paramount scheduled for release on November 3, 2028. No details on the cast or plot are available at this time.<\/p>\n Moana <\/p>\n Deadline<\/a> also reports Lin Manuel Miranda has written a new song for the live-action Moana titled \u201cAlong the Way\u201d, performed by Dwayne Johnson, Catherine Laga\u2019aia, and the original voice of Moana, Auli\u2019i Cravalho. The song is described by Miranda as \u201ca musical conversation between Auli\u2019i\u2019s Moana and [Catherine\u2019s] Moana,\u201d or as Johnson describes it, \u201cit\u2019s our OG Moana and your live-action Moana coming together, and then it\u2019s your boy Maui coming in.\u201d<\/p>\n Evil Dead Burn <\/p>\n In a new interview with SFX Magazine (via Games Radar<\/a>), S\u00e9bastien Vani\u010dek promised an unrated and \u201cway more violent\u201d director\u2019s cut of Evil Dead Burn will release sometime after its theatrical release.<\/p>\n There is a scene that is not R-rated. It\u2019s a really, really hard scene. And I have to cut it, unfortunately, so you just won\u2019t experience it as brutally as it is right now because I need to have the R-rated movie. So we are trying to find a good balance.<\/p>\n The director\u2019s cut will be way more violent than what we will have in the theater.<\/p>\n Supergirl <\/p>\n Appearing as a guest on the Raiders of the Lost Podcast<\/a> (via Deadline<\/a>), Milly Alcock revealed her Supergirl cape is made from the same material as Christopher Reeve\u2019s Superman.<\/p>\n My cape in this film was remade using material from the original Superman cape. Yeah, I think that they found there was like 16 meters of that material, so yeah, that\u2019s in the back of my cape now.<\/p>\n Twilight of the Dead <\/p>\n Daily Dead<\/a> reports Greg Nicotero has joined the make-up effect teams of Twilight of the Dead, the final installment of the late George Romero\u2019s Living Dead saga\u00a0starring Kate Beckinsale.<\/p>\n Death Stranding <\/p>\n In conversation with Bloody-Disgusting<\/a>, director Michael Sarnoski stated the Death Stranding movie will be \u201ca different kind of dark\u201d than his latest film, The Death of Robin Hood.<\/p>\n It\u2019s\u00a0not going to be as dark as\u00a0Robin Hood. That was a movie that really had to capture this kind of visceral violence so that we could go to this deeply soulful place, and feel that contrast, yet also feel how those things coexist in this world. That was really important to me.\u00a0Death Stranding\u00a0is a game that deals with heavy stuff like the veil between life and death, isolation, connection, loss, and the distance between people both in space and time generationally.\u00a0And so it has all of these pretty weighty themes, but\u00a0it\u2019s also like an adventure game and an adventure movie.<\/p>\n So, I think it will definitely have some darkness to it, because yeah, there are ghosts and things like that in that game. There\u2019s heavy stuff to explore, but I think it\u2019s going to be a different kind of darkness.<\/p>\n I think I like making movies that don\u2019t\u00a0shy away from the darkness,\u00a0don\u2019t try and sugarcoat it, don\u2019t try and make it easy, but find a way through it, and a way to integrate it into the light and hope as well.\u00a0So at the end you\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0feel like\u00a0you\u2019ve\u00a0copped out on the dark things to get to the light, but that\u00a0you\u2019ve\u00a0found a way\u00a0to properly bring both of those things into yourself.\u00a0That\u2019s what we needed to do, because there\u2019s no escaping the darkness and the death, and the sadness and all that stuff of life, but we have to find ways to still be\u00a0good to ourselves and good to other people through that.<\/p>\n Sex Criminals <\/p>\n Deadline<\/a> reports Pamela Adlon and BD Wong have joined the cast of the Sex Criminals TV series.
