\n\tIf you were shocked to hear Jeremy Strong<\/a>\u2018s voice as Mark Zuckerberg<\/a> in The Social Reckoning<\/a> trailer<\/a>, Jeremy Allen White<\/a> was right there with you.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile premiering the fifth and final season of FX\u2019s The Bear on Monday night in New York City, White also took a moment to discuss the highly anticipated film. Strong stars as Zuckerberg<\/a>, but because the two actors never overlapped on set, the trailer marked White\u2019s first glimpse of Strong\u2019s portrayal.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cJeremy and I spent zero time together filming \u2014 we were totally separate,\u201d White told The Hollywood Reporter. \u201cSo the first I heard was the trailer with you guys, but it\u2019s incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Emmy winner added of Strong\u2019s performance, \u201cI thought it was great, but that\u2019s what I expect of Jeremy. He\u2019s so talented. He works so hard. It makes perfect sense to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Social Reckoning is a follow-up to the Oscar-winning 2010 film The Social Network, which starred Jesse Eisenberg as Zuckerberg<\/a> and chronicled the creation of Facebook, as well as the lawsuits brought by co-founder and former best friend Eduardo Saverin (Andrew Garfield) and the Winklevoss twins (Armie Hammer). The film was directed by David Fincher and written by Aaron Sorkin, who won an Academy Award for his screenplay.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis time, Sorkin returns to write and direct the sequel, which is set 17 years after the events<\/a> of the original film. In addition to Strong\u2019s Zuckerberg, White plays Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz, who works with former Facebook employee Frances Haugen (Mikey Madison) on a mission to expose the social network\u2019s biggest secrets.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile The Social Network followed Facebook\u2019s rise, the sequel centers on the consequences and controversies surrounding social media as it has evolved.<\/p>\n

\n\tBut for White, working on the film didn\u2019t necessarily change his relationship with social media or his views on its impact.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI don\u2019t know if it changed,\u201d he said. \u201cI think I have always held similar feelings to what we\u2019re trying to provoke with the film, so I don\u2019t think it changed my mind in any way. But it definitely strengthened my opinions. There\u2019s a lot of proof about the addictive aspects of this stuff, and we should all take a step back.\u201d<\/p>\n
