Wigan Warriors half-back Harry Smith has signed a four-year contract extension to remain with the Super League club until the end of the 2030 season.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old started in their Challenge Cup final victory over Hull KR at Wembley last month, the third time he has won the competition with Wigan.<\/p>\n

Smith was also part of their quadruple-winning 2024 squad and has won the Super League Grand Final on two occasions in his senior career.<\/p>\n

“Being at Wigan since 2014, the club means a lot to me – as well as the lads and the coaching staff,” he said., external<\/a><\/p>\n

“It’s been a brilliant few years being on the winning side of things and the team bond we’ve created and I just want that to continue so it was a bit of a no brainer really.”<\/p>\n

Smith has made 174 appearances for Wigan in all competitions, having come through the club’s academy.<\/p>\n

An England international, he has also made 11 appearances for his country, including in two Tests during last year’s Ashes series.<\/p>\n

“He is an outstanding player and plays an important leadership role within our team, both on and off the field,” head coach Matt Peet said.<\/p>\n

“On a personal level, I am looking forward to continuing to work with Harry as he moves into the prime years of his career.
