The Conjuring: Last Rites, billed as the final installment in the mainline franchise, is coming to theaters on September 5, and the film\u2019s \u201cR\u201d rating has arrived.<\/p>\n<p>The Conjuring: Last Rites has been rated \u201cR\u201d for \u201cbloody\/violent content and terror.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is of course the expected rating for a Conjuring Universe movie at this point, with the first film back in 2013 receiving its \u201cR\u201d rating for \u201csequences of disturbing violence and terror.\u201d The Conjuring 2 was said to have \u201cterror and horror violence,\u201d while The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It got slapped with an \u201cR\u201d for \u201cterror, violence, and some disturbing images.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vera Farmiga\u00a0and\u00a0Patrick Wilson\u00a0star in one last terrifying adventure this September. The Conjuring: Last Rites\u00a0draws inspiration from the real life\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bloody-disgusting.com\/editorials\/3867607\/smurl-family-haunting-true-story-conjuring\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Smurl Family Haunting<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>From New Line Cinema comes the ninth entry in the more than $2 billion theatrical\u00a0Conjuring\u00a0universe,\u00a0The Conjuring: Last Rites, directed by franchise veteran\u00a0Michael Chaves\u00a0and produced by franchise architects\u00a0James Wan\u00a0and\u00a0Peter Safran.<\/p>\n<p>Watch the previously released official trailer below.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The end is near.
