A cause of death was also released.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/daveigh-chase-rip-05.jpg\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"788\" height=\"1250\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/daveigh-chase-rip-05-788x1250.jpg\" alt=\"Daveigh Chase photo\" class=\"wp-image-2231403\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Daveigh Chase\u2019s cause of death was confirmed in reporting about her tragic passing<\/p>\n<p>The site <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2026\/06\/17\/daveigh-chase-dead\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a>, \u201cDaveigh died Tuesday from meningitis and an infection in her blood, which caused her to have septic issues and led to her body shutting down.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She was apparently hospitalized earlier in the month for malnutrition. No further information has been revealed at this time, but we will share more updates as they come in.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/daveigh-chase-rip-03.jpg\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"788\" height=\"812\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/daveigh-chase-rip-03-788x812.jpg\" alt=\"Daveigh Chase photo with Naomi Watts\" class=\"wp-image-2231402\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Daveigh was widely recognized for her portrayal of Samara Morgan in The Ring, as well as for lending her voice to Lilo in Lilo &amp; Stitch and Chihiro in the English-language version of Spirited Away. She also appeared as Samantha Darko in Donnie Darko. Among her career achievements, Daveigh won a Young Artist Award for Lilo &amp; Stitch.<\/p>\n<p>Our thoughts are with Daveigh\u2018s friends, family, and loved ones. <a
